- Spell out numbers one through nine
- Use numerals for 10 and above
This also applies to ordinal numbers:
- first through ninth
- 10th and above
Large Numbers
For big numbers, use a numeral and a word:
- 1.6 million people
- $2.7 million
- 5 cents
For amounts under $1 million, use the dollar sign:
- $17
In Titles and Headings
Use numerals in:
- Page titles
- Subheadings
- Interface labels

Use the full four-digit year:
- 2025
For informal writing, it’s okay to shorten it:

- Spell out percent in most writing:

- Tables
- Technical or scientific writing
- Headings and subheadings
- Interface labels
- Captions and infographics
