The program manages the inventory and addresses radio, dispatch, mobile and portable radio equipment for OJS and the federally recognized tribes that request telecommunications support and technical assistance. The BIA Land Mobile Radio team is responsible for running the LMR help desk, which addresses radio and equipment technical issues. Work orders are resolved on a daily basis and typically involve audio issues, radio removals, radio installs on new vehicles, digital transmission issues, and MSAT and antenna service to a vehicles. We are also revising our current vendor New Install and Maintenance Checklist forms to include additional instructions for improved clarification and safety measures.
