Geospatial Support Help Desk

The Branch of Geospatial Support operates the Geospatial Support Help Desk, which provides assistance and technical support to Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) employees and employees of federally-recognized Tribal governments for the Department of Interior-Bureau of Indian Affairs Enterprise License Agreement (DOI-BIA ELA) program and related geospatial software and geospatial training.

Software Issues

If you are an active DOI-BIA ELA participant experiencing issues with your geospatial software, include the following details in your support request:

• Software product, including version number
• Operating system, including version information
• Description of your issue
• Screenshots of any error or warning messages
• Description of any troubleshooting steps taken
• Additional contact information

Geospatial Training Requests

Training Access

If you are an active DOI-BIA ELA participant inquiring about or requesting access to geospatial training, include the courses or training events in which you would like to participate.

Training Event De-Registration

If you registered for a training event with limited capacity and no longer plan on attending, letting the Support Desk know will allow a registrant on the waiting list to take your place.

Account Status

If you are a BIA employee or employee of a federally-recognized Tribal government whose organization participates in the DOI-BIA ELA program but your account has been deactivated, your organization’s primary GIS contact must submit a User Reconciliation Audit (URA) form that lists you as an active user.
