Notice of Changes

Pursuant to the Bureau of Indian Affairs regulations governing our electric power utilities, found at 25 CFR 175, notice is hereby given that Colorado River Electrical Services is adjusting the purchased power component of our rates. Effective February 1, 2026, we will charge all customers $0.02 per kilowatt-hour consumed.

We reviewed our current operation and maintenance requirements for the Headgate Rock Hydro Electric Generation Station and purchase power requirements from Western Area Power Administration to determine if our financial and statutory requirements are being met. Because of the increased costs caused by market increases, and planned maintenance actions, it is necessary to implement the current purchase power fee.
