On October 26, 2023, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Environmental Services and Cultural Resource Management (DESCRM) announced the 2023 Young Tribal Leaders Art Contest to highlight the perspectives and creativity of Native youth and young professionals across the nation.

Tribal citizens ages 14-30 may submit artwork on the themes of the environment, culture, or climate for a chance to win travel expenses to the 2024 National Tribal and Indigenous Climate Conference and have their work exhibited online and at Washington, D.C.

Submitted artwork can be in any medium, including photography, digital art, drawings and paintings, basketry, pottery, beadwork, and quillwork. All submissions must be received by Saturday January 6, 2023
