On September 6, 2022, leadership from the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) invited Tribal Leaders to consult on fisheries protection and restoration issues. Due to the impacts of a recent storm on Nome and the need to focus on disaster relief efforts, DOI and NOAA postponed the consultation in Nome previously scheduled for October 6, 2022. We have rescheduled the Nome consultation as a virtual session to be held on Monday, November 21, 2022. Due to the rescheduled consultation, we are extending the written comment deadline to 11:59 ET on December 5, 2022. Please submit any written comments to consultation@bia.gov with subject line "Fisheries Consultation."
