Biography
Gabriel N. Draper, a member of the Navajo Nation and a United States Air Force veteran, serves as Director (Acting) of the Office of Facilities, Property and Safety Management for Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Draper has more than 20 years of public and military service. In his current role, he provides executive leadership over national programs spanning facilities management and construction, public health and safety, occupational safety and risk management, real and personal property, and the Section 105(l) Tribal leasing program.
For him, serving Indian Country is more than a profession, it is a personal commitment to strengthening Tribal communities, honoring the federal government’s trust responsibilities, and ensuring that Native children, families, and communities have the essential services they deserve. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Associate Degree in Safety and Occupational Health and a Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.
