1. Are indirect costs allowable under the IGNITE Workforce Pilot Program?
Yes. Applicants with a current federally negotiated indirect cost rate agreement may include indirect costs in their proposed budget in accordance with applicable Federal cost principles and the requirements outlined in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
2. Are nonprofit organizations eligible to apply for funding?
No. Eligibility is limited to the entities identified in the Notice of Funding Opportunity, which includes Federally Recognized Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations acting on behalf of Federally Recognized Tribes, and Tribal consortia.
Eligible applicants may partner or collaborate with nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, labor organizations, employers, or other entities to carry out proposed workforce development activities, as appropriate. Any partnerships should be clearly described in the application.
3. Is the IGNITE Workforce Pilot Program funding opportunity still available?
Yes. The IGNITE Workforce Pilot Program Notice of Funding Opportunity is currently open. Applicants should refer to the NOFO for application requirements, deadlines, and submission instructions.
4. When did the funding opportunity open?
The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is now available on the Bureau of Indian Affairs Job Placement and Training website Fiscal Year 2026 Job Placement and Training (JP&T) Native American Technology and Manufacturing Grant Pilot Program | Indian Affairs. Any previous references to an anticipated June release reflected the estimated timeline during program development. Applicants should rely on the currently posted NOFO for the official application period and requirements.
5. How do I submit an application?
Application submission instructions, required forms, and all supporting materials are provided in the Notice of Funding Opportunity available on the Bureau of Indian Affairs Job Placement and Training website Fiscal Year 2026 Job Placement and Training (JP&T) Native American Technology and Manufacturing Grant Pilot Program | Indian Affairs.
