The BIA’s Land Title and Records Office (LTRO) maintains title documents for land held in trust or restricted status for individual Indians and Tribes (Indian land). Current regulations governing LTRO are located at 25 CFR 150.
On December 11, 2020, BIA proposed a rule that would revise 25 CFR 150 to replace outdated provisions and allow for more widespread efficiencies by reflecting current practices, while creating a framework for future LTRO operations.
