Regional Director, Southern Plains
Robert “Gabe” Morgan is the Regional Director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Southern Plains Regional Office.
Before his current role, Morgan served eight years as the region’s BIA Office of Trust Services deputy regional director. From 2012-16, he served as Southern Plains Regional natural resource officer.
Since 2008, Morgan has worked for the Bureau in various other leadership positions, including Chief of Staff, Office of Trust Services associate deputy bureau director, and special assistant in the Office of Indian Services in Washington, DC.
Morgan is an enrolled member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma and a proud descendant of the Kiowa and Pima Tribes.
