Access to Capital Clearinghouse

"No less than for any other sovereign, Tribal self-governance is about the fundamental right of a people to determine their own destiny and to prosper and flourish on their own terms." - E.O. 14112

Welcome to the Access to Capital Clearinghouse!

Launched during the 2023 White House Tribal Nations Summit, in alignment with the WHCNAAs Access to Capital Initiative, and Executive Order 14112 Reforming Federal Funding and Support for Tribal Nations, the Clearinghouse represents the Biden-Harris Administration's commitment to an all-of-government approach in meeting treaty and trust obligations by creating a single source for Tribes to reference when researching federal funding opportunities to meet their needs in the pursuit of self-governance.

Acknowledging that the federal policies of past eras were attacks on basic rights to Tribal self-governance, the Administration supports the wisdom of self-determination: Native people thrive when Tribes thrive, Tribes thrive when they have autonomy, and Federal financial support as a trust responsibility is vital to re-building Tribal institutions.

The Clearinghouse is meant to serve those working in and for Indian Country. Categorically speaking this includes Native entrepreneurs, Tribal employees working in various departments and capacities, Tribal Governments, Native CDFIs, and Tribal consortiums. It's also a great reference for federal employees that are providing technical assistance and assisting Tribes in researching available funding programs and projects.

The Clearinghouse currently hosts federal funding opportunities from over 15 Federal agencies across over 60 offices. Comprised of 16 categories of funding, the Clearinghouse hosts a diversity of grants, loans, loan guarantees, Tax credits, Cost sharing, Technical Assistance, Vouchers and more.
