Our Mission

The Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO), Office of Information Technology (OIT) has a strong vision for the future which is aligned with the Department of the Interior (DOI) and Indian Affairs (IA) strategic plans, while ensuring compliance with the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA).

About the Office of Information Technology

OIT is responsible for providing information management and technology for all of IA - Office of the Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs (AS-IA) and the Bureaus of Indian Affairs (BIA) and Indian Education (BIE); and supports the IT infrastructure that facilitates the fulfillment of the highly complex IA mission.

OIT is also responsible for developing and implementing information resources and technology management policy, procedures, processes, and systems to effectively execute all OIT functions.
