San Carlos Irrigation Project would like to inform customers of a scheduled power outage taking place on Thursday, April 2nd, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Crews will be isolating the 69 kV line to complete a necessary pole replacement.
This work will require two brief outages throughout the day, each lasting up to 30 minutes.
The second outage is planned to begin at 3:00 p.m.
These outages are required to ensure the safety of our crews while they perform this work.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important maintenance.
Notice of Power Cost Adjustment -
Pursuant to the Bureau of Indian Affairs regulations governing our electric power utilities, found at 25 CFR 175, notice is hereby given that the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP) is adjusting the purchased Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) component of our rates. Effective March 1, 2026, the PCA will be removed. Our existing electric power rates published in the Federal Register (87 FR 77628, Dec. 19, 2022) remain in effect.
SCIP completed its periodic review of power supply costs for calendar year 2025 and projected power costs for 2026 and determined that a removal of the PCA is appropriate. We will continue to monitor energy rates and adjust the PCA as needed to meet our financial and statutory requirements.
