Access to Capital in Indian Country

In January 2023, the Biden-Harris administration announced efforts to expand access to capital, including the following steps:

  • Small Business Lending Company (SBLC) Proposed Rule
  • Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Proposed Rule
  • Lending Criteria, Affiliation, and Employee Ownership for SBA Business Loan Programs Proposed Rule
  • Implementing the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI)
