The table below lists the petitioners that are in the acknowledgment process under 25 CFR Part 83 acknowledgment regulations as revised in 2015.

|Petitioners with Documented Petitions that Will Supplement their Documented Petitions|
The petitioners in this table have stated that they will supplement their petitions with additional material. When one of these petitioners submits additional materials and declares that its submissions are complete, the Department will review the materials and move the petitioner onto the Register of Documented Petitions in accordance with 25 CFR 83.21-22.
Under section 83.7(b) of the acknowledgment regulations, several petitioners chose to complete the acknowledgment process under the previous version of the acknowledgment regulations (the 25 CFR Part 83 acknowledgment regulations as revised April 1, 1994). These petitioners are:
- Southern Sierra Miwuk Nation (#082)
- Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokees, Inc. (#041)
- Amah Mutsun Band of Ohlone/Costanoan Indians (#120)
- Grand River Band of Ottawa Indians (#146)
